Personal Project: Porsche Tires

I decided to start at the bottom and go from the ground up. So I tried two different ways to make the tire. 1 was using a cylander and hollowing out what I needed
the other method that I tried was to use a polygon pipe for the tire and cylander for the center piece of the tire. seen below. 
I think that the cylander was more balanced in terms of the tire itself but the rim was smoother using the pipe and cylander. I will probably use the tutorial for the main body of the car. and as another method to find a balance in with the tire
